Our Programs

Every Cub Scout is a part of a pack. The pack is divided into smaller groups called dens. Each den has about six to eight boys. The Cub Scouts in each den are in the same grade and work to complete the achievements for the same rank.

lionLion

The Lion den is for boys who are in Kindergarten.

Each Lion joins the den with his Adult Partner, who accompanies the Lion at all den and pack events. The Lion program encourages boys to learn and explore through hands-on, high-energy activities. The Lion badge is earned by completing five adventures, which are accomplished during the den meetings and outings. When an adventure is completed, the youth receives a sticker to put in his Lion Adventure Book.

tiger_200Tiger

The Tiger den is for boys who are in first grade.

Each Tiger joins the pack together with his Adult Partner who accompanies the Tiger at all den and pack events.  As the Tiger Cub finishes each of the six required adventures and one elective adventure he is awarded the adventure loop for that adventure, which he can wear on his belt.  When a Cub Scout has earned all the required adventure loops, the Tiger badge is awarded at the annual Blue & Gold Banquet or a pack meeting.

wolf_200Wolf

The Wolf den is for boys who are in second grade.

To earn the Wolf badge, a Cub Scout must complete six required adventures and one elective adventure.  His parent or guardian approves each achievement by signing his handbook, and the boy receives an adventure loop for each completed adventure. When a Cub Scout has met all requirements, the Wolf badge is awarded at the annual Blue & Gold Banquet or a pack meeting.

bear_200Bear

The Bear den is for boys who are in third grade.

To earn the Bear badge, a Cub Scout must complete six required adventures and one elective adventure that are more challenging than those for the Wolf badge. His parent or guardian and den leader approves each requirement by signing his book, and the boy receives an adventure loop for each adventure. When a Cub Scout has met all requirements, the Bear badge is awarded at the annual Blue & Gold Banquet or a pack meeting.

webelos_200Webelos

Webelos dens is for boys who are in the fourth grade.

Webelos Scouts get to work on the five required Webelos adventures and choose two elective adventures.  When a boy has fulfilled the requirements for an adventure the Webelos Den Leader must approve it in the boy’s book. For each adventure a boy completes, he receives a pin to wear on his Webelos colors or on his hat. After completing seven adventures, a Scout is awarded the Webelos badge at the annual Blue & Gold Banquet or a pack meeting.

AOL_200Arrow of Light

The Arrow of Light den is for boys who are in the fifth grade.

Arrow of Light is the highest rank in Cub Scouting, and earning it prepares a Webelos Scout to become a Boy Scout. Scouts must complete four required adventures and three elective adventures to earn the Arrow of Light rank. For each adventure a boy completes, he receives a pin to wear on the Webelos colors or on his hat. The Arrow of Light badge is the only Cub Scout badge that can be worn on the Boy Scout uniform when a boy graduates into a troop.
